There are two main types of solar power, solar thermal and photovoltaic. Solar thermal uses the sun light's infrared energy to either heat a liquid or to warm a mass of material that will later on release its stored heat. Harnessing solar thermal energy involves building a house in such a way to collect the sun's heat during the day and radiate it into the home during the evening. However, in the summer time the house's construction uses mass to keep the sun's heat out of the home.

 Going Green?

Here in New England and in the rest of the country as well the colleges are getting back to classes.

I have noticed that many of the students have the typical laptops, PDA’s, cell phones and IPods to help them do their best at college.   This trend seems to be growing each year and the colleges seem to welcome the new opportunities to be able to communicate assignments, tips and security warnings to the students.

I have had so many older couples tell me that they have been together for a very long time.  Most of their fondest memories seem to be from the times when they had next to nothing.  Being in this situation seemed to draw them closer.
