Solar energy touches our lives in so many ways now, which makes it so much easier to be environmentally friendly and keep more of your “green” by not having to purchase batteries and pay electric bills. With the economic changes we have all experienced saving money is as important as having emergency power.  When the weather is bad and the power is out having a solar light in the garage or shed is extremely helpful. When you are camping it is nice to have a light that doesn’t weigh you down and is reliable.

There are currently lights that will work with the grid; however they are limited to having a power source that is working.  With solar lights there is more freedom with where you put them, they work when the power is out, and another bonus is that you are using an eco friendly source of power.
