Frugality and Romance Can it Work?

I have had so many older couples tell me that they have been together for a very long time.  Most of their fondest memories seem to be from the times when they had next to nothing.  Being in this situation seemed to draw them closer. Some of them have told of a candle light picnic, others talk of building their home together; some just went for long walks.

With so many people turning back to saving money, frugality is the new old way to go.

There are so many ways in which this can be done while still maintaining your lifestyle.

For a couple that are trying to save money but still want to maintain some romance creativity is key.

This can be done with style in your own back yard. Very often I have passed a tastefully lit outdoor cafe or patio and thought it was a very intimate setting. Let’s bring that intimate setting to your own back yard or patio. To do this put a set of solar string lights (remember solar lighting comes with no bills) in and around the trees, bushes, on windows and railings to create that night time romantic glow.  You can even put a solar light or bouquet on the table or nearby.  If you like the woodsy atmosphere then add some solar dragonfly and butterfly solar lights.  If you have a pond or a fountain put the water solar lights in that.  Once that is done, the mood should be set. Then present the meal and drinks that best suit your taste. Your evening is whatever you want from there…..

When it all comes to an end just think how often you and your partner will talk about that night that you went to all the effort just for them.  Those are the times that memories are made of.
