This is a short book designed to teach young children how solar energy, solar panels and solar power work through art. The characters take them on a journey through the home to explain solar energy and how it works in our lives. The writer picked a teenage illustrator so that this would relate well to children. Her drawings came from what she learned about solar power to do this book. She also talked to some young children about what they would like to learn from.
